ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CENTRE KOHIMA NAGALAND
The Entrepreneurship Development Centre was established as a collaboration between the State Government and the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati through funding support from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, as a part of the Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP) Project. The primary objective of this center is to develop the Entrepreneurship ecosystem within the State Government through various means, such as policy framework, Governance structure, Research for Sector Profiling, Program and Curriculum Development, Awareness Generation, Mentorship Development Programs, and Entrepreneurship Development Programs. This initiative is designed to strengthen faculty capabilities, foster an entrepreneurial mindset among students, integrate entrepreneurship-focused modules into the academic curriculum, and provide comprehensive support to innovators in transforming and scaling ideas into impactful ventures. By providing with the necessary skills, resources, and networking opportunities to the development of a thriving entrepreneurial and to create a healthy ecosystem by providing practical business training, incubation support, and skill development to transition youth from job seekers to job creators in the state of Nagaland.
Objectives:
The centre objectives is to provide physical guide and access to a strong network of mentors entrepreneurs in helping to create a sustainable networks with academia and industry. EDC aims to create a culture of entrepreneurship in the state and inspire job seekers to become job creators, building grassroots capacity and knowledge exchange into profitable business models.
